About this site
broadband.me.uk is an independent list of broadband social tariffs: cheaper deals that providers sell only to people who get certain benefits.
Why this site exists
Social tariffs can save a household on Universal Credit or PIP hundreds of pounds a year, but most people who could get one don't know they exist. In February 2026 Ofcom reported that only around one in twelve eligible households was on a social tariff.
One reason is that almost nobody advertises them. Comparison sites earn money when you buy through their links, and social tariffs usually pay them nothing, so they rarely appear in comparison tables. This site lists them all in one place.
No affiliate links
We don't use affiliate links, and no provider pays us. Every link on this site goes straight to the provider's own website, with no tracking code added. Providers usually don't allow affiliate links on social tariffs anyway, and we think a site for people on low incomes shouldn't make money from them.
How we check prices
- We check each provider's own social tariff page, and Ofcom's official list of social tariffs.
- Each provider's details show the date we last checked them and where we got the figures.
- We list the cheapest social tariff each provider sells. Where there are faster tiers, they're listed under that provider's details.
- Speeds are the average download speeds the providers advertise. The speed you get at home could be higher or lower.
Prices change several times a year. Always check the price and conditions on the provider's website before you sign up. If anything here is different from what the provider or Ofcom says, believe them, not us.
What we don't do
- We don't check which providers can connect your address. Use the provider's own postcode checker for that.
- We don't give financial or benefits advice. For help with benefits, contact Citizens Advice or call the Universal Credit helpline on 0800 328 5644.
- We don't collect any information about you. See our privacy notice.
